Day time sessions proposed in 1979 AGM to start in 1980 on Tuesdays

16/01/1985 committee meeting: “Introductory Competition: 4 days from February .... and November “Spring Competition”.

Rita Collie first mentioned in 1978 AGM – acted as scorer

07/10/1988 - 8 match Tuesday draw be reduced to 4 with other 4 matches to be the Jeannie Fraser Trophy

12/01/1994 ASB Trophy outdated. $200-250 to be spent on new trophy – “Warkworth Bridge Club Open Tournament”

ASB Trophy to be used for Teams of 4 on Tuesdays.

11/09/1986 committee meeting: silver plate donated by Ron Barnett be awarded for Tuesday Championship Pairs.

One silver vase be awarded for Warkworth Pairs (Tuesday) and the other for Mahurangi Trophy (Wednesday).

21/01/1988 Barnett silver salver – teams of four event; Ginn silver rose bowl Tuesday draw. (Les Ginn auditor, then Treasurer)

1990 annual report: Thanks to Rodney Times – the Rodney Pairs Trophy.

27/10/1993 Ron Barnett Trophy Wednesday nights – donated by Ron Barnett

11/09/1986 committee meeting:

One silver vase be awarded for Warkworth Pairs (Tuesday) and the other for Mahurangi Trophy (Wednesday).

11/08/1989 – Silver sandwich tray presented by Hibiscus Coast BC on WBC’s 21st birthday (celebrated July 1989) become Hibiscus Trophy presented to highest total score from having played 25+ games on either/both Tues & Wed who has not currently received a prize.

 

General Information:

J Fraser appointed Secretary at 1980 AGM, then President, in her report 30/09/1991 “our first ever Tournament had been held at Totara Park. We will be having a further tournament on 25th January 1992.”
